Mod Podge Clipboard

Posted on: November 16, 2010

I haven’t used Mod Podge since I was a kid in vacation Bible school…that’s a few years ago.  I picked up a jar at Walmart on a whim and decided to jazz up a plain clipboard I had.

I use this clipboard to hold my checklist of daily &  weekly chores and my weekly menu plan.  It’s much cuter now that I have applied a cheery pink patterned paper.

This was a very quick project…the most time consuming aspect was waiting for the Mod Podge to dry between coats.  I applied a coat over the dry clipboard and adhered the paper, wrapping it around to the back side to cover the edges…if you do this, make sure that the overlapping paper is long enough to get a good bond.  My paper was a little too short to do this properly so it was a little frustrating to get it to stick.  I cut the paper in irregular sections to fit around the clip so the board was completely covered and applied more paper on the back.  I applied two coats of Mod Podge to secure the paper and give it a waterproof seal because the clipboard spends a lot of time in my kitchen!
